OOPS!® Template

Using Templates in Custom Reports

O - To use an existing OOPS! template in Custom Reports, change the F or Q&D in custom reports to O. The ID and title can be anything. Make sure the template has the extension ptp. You can specify conditions and sorting and grouping on most.

For special instructions, put ZZTEMPLATE="templatename" (without the ptp extension). Some templates require ZZ variables to be set. Error messages when you try to run the report will indicate this.

Go to the place in OOPS! where the template was designed to run to find out what information must be specified.

Field names go in quotes, as ZZV1="system". This specifies the field for the schedule list.

F - To use a custom template in Custom Reports, set the field F or Q&D to F. The report must have the same name as the template. The template must have the extension TPL. You can specify conditions and some sorting and grouping.

In special instructions, put SPECFILE="Templatename.tpl";PERFORM SPECIAL.PPF You can get more out of this by having programming statements before the template statement, such as custom titles.

The lowstock templates are LOWSTOCK.PTP, this is by part number and LOWSTV1.PTP this is by vendor number.
