OOPS!® REFERENCE/SUPPLEMENT SHEETS
There are two types of supplemental sheets. Reference sheets
which can be as many pages as you want and Supplemental Sheets which
are only 54 lines long. Supplemental Sheets can be combined by
using the Continued command.
Attached are the instructions to use both types. We suggest
making reference sheets over standard supplemental sheets because they
can be one page or many.
REFERENCE SHEETS
Reference sheets are DOS text files that can be attached to PM
Master Schedules and Corrective and Emergency Work Orders. They
can be created in three places:
1. From the Master Menu pick D for Data files
- Then Pick S for supplemental sheets
- The id MUST start with R:
- The rest of the id can be up to eight characters long,
you cannot use blanks, exclamation points, asterisks
or periods in the ID title.
good example : R:1MTRALL
bad example: R:1 MTRALL
- When you press enter it will ask you want you want to wrap at,
65 is usually a good default. It will put
65 characters across before word wrapping to the next line
2. You will now be in the blue text editor
You can type in your text and each page is approximately 54
lines long.
You can automatically go to the next page. Reference sheets
will store as much information as you need.
3. To exit Reference sheets and save them. Press ESC and type in
STOP at the command line.
4. You can add them to your PM's and Work orders by:
Going to the SUPPSHID field and type in R: and the filename.
If you don't know the filename you can type in R: and press
F1.
It will give you a list of reference sheets. Position your
cursor on the one you want and press enter. It will put that ID in the
fieldname.
This is also the way you can edit and add reference sheets.
At the SUPPSHID field if type in R: and a new filename
Press the F1 key
The word wrap question will appear, put in 65 and press
enter.
You will now be at the same text editor and can add the text.
To save it, Press ESC and type in STOP.
You will now be back to the Master Schedule or Work Order
screen.
To edit an existing reference sheet in PMs or Work Orders.
Go down to the suppshid field and Press F1.
It will bring up the word wrap, set this to 65.
And once again you are in the text editor and can make your
changes.
STANDARD SUPPLEMENTAL SHEETS
Supplemental sheets are only 54 lines long. They can be continued
by creating another supplemental sheet with the extra information
and telling OOPS! to print the second one also.
1. Create another Supplemental Sheet with the second page of
information.
This can also be only 54 lines long. If you need more than that
you would have to create a third supplemental sheet.
2. Bring up the first Supplemental Sheet. This would be the one
you want to print out first.
3. Go down to the 54th row. You can tell where you are by looking
at the column and row indicator in the top left hand corner.
4. In that row type in: CONTINUED: suppshid
5. Press ESC and type in STOP to save.
6. In the PMs and work orders you will only need to put the first
SUPPSHID name in. It will see the Continued command and print the second
one.
Example:
Have your first page of text in a Supp sheet called CHKLIST1
Create a second page of text in a Supp sheet called CHKLISTC
Bring up CHKLIST1
In the 54th row I type in CONTINUED: CHKLISTC
Save it by pressing ESC and type in STOP
Go to your PM to add this Supplemental Sheet
In the SUPPSHID field I type in: CHKLIST1
When the work order is produced and printed it will output, the
work order, chklist1 and then chklistc.
