Aviar, Inc. releases the "translatable" version of KidStuff for OS/2, "Edu-tainment" Software for children ages 3 to 7. Pittsburgh, PA -- Aviar, Inc. announced today that, it has released the translatable Version of its new product KidStuff for OS/2.

John Urbaniak of Aviar stated: "We were happy to have received so many requests from individuals in countries where English is not the native tongue and felt it was well worth the effort to add the translatable features to KidStuff for OS/2. Most of our other products are already 100% translatable."

The format of the files was already customizable in the "Preferences" section so if you have more than one child, you can have a separate folder for each child with his or her own copy of KidStuff with that individual child's name included in the programs.

Aviar's programmers are already busy working on KidStuff 2 for OS/2 and hope to have it ready for release before Christmas.

KidStuff for OS/2 is featured on Aviar's webpage: (http://www.oops-web.com/KS/KStuff.html)

Aviar, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Dr. Urbaniak to provide top-quality PC software for commercial and industrial users. Aviar's OOPS! was first released more than 10 years ago and is still in use by companies around the world. In recent years, the company has placed most of its focus on development of speech-activated systems. KidStuff for OS/2 is the first of a new product line for Aviar.

Aviar, Inc. releases Ver. 1.01 of Oz., its voice-activated CMMS. Oz. works under Aurora Pittsburgh, PA -- Aviar, parent company of Ounce of Prevention Software, announced today that, it has released Ver. 1.01 of its Oz. of Prevention System for the OS/2 platforms. Oz was fully tested and does run under IBM's new Warp Server for e-business (Aurora) with DB2 Universal 5.2.

Included in the new version are Barcoding capabilities. Using this feature in Oz., the printed Work Order containing the Bar Code symbol for the WO Number can be taken by the Maintenance workers to the Parts Room when requesting the needed parts. There, the Parts Clerk can swipe the Bar Code symbol on the Work Order and the Bar Code symbol on the Part label. The Parts Clerk can manually enter the quantity of each part. The Bar Code device then can download a text file to the \Oz\BCFiles folder at the end of the day.

When you run "Process Bar Code Files" program, the Parts Inventory will be reduced by the quantity of each Part used. The Parts are automatically attached to the Work Order, so the task of WO Completion becomes almost painless. The format of the Bar Code files is customizable in the Oz "Preferences" section. The new version also adds the Work Order Number to the Storeroom Request Screen. When a WO Number is specified, all the information concerning the Equipment is filled in automatically. Parts requested this way are reduced from Inventory instantly, and the Parts are automatically added to the "Parts" section of the completed WO. This makes the WO Completion process significantly easier.

Version 1.01 also provides an almost mind-boggling selection of Cost Reporting options - 629,300 different reports.

John Urbaniak, Aviar's President, was quoted as saying: "No other CMMS on the market has such reporting power!" He further stated that he was pleased, after testing, to find that Oz runs extremely well under Warp Server for e-business (Aurora). He said, "Aurora is easy to install, fast and reliable. We believe our customers will benefit greatly from the speed and power of Oz running on Aurora. One of the purposes of a CMMS is to save companies money in their maintenance management operations. With Oz and Aurora, they will also save time."

Oz. is featured on Aviar's webpage: (http://www.oops-web.com) and is being sold both as a turnkey system and software-only directly through Aviar's Sales Department.
